Dottsy
Privacy Policy
Effective October 2, 2026
Dottsy is a daily habit tracker. Your habit list and daily completion history are stored on your device. Dottsy does not create accounts and does not sync your habits to a Dottsy server.
Information stored on your device
Dottsy stores your habits, icons, colors, order, completion history, trial state, and cached purchase access locally on your device. If you delete the app or lose the device, this local data may be lost.
Diagnostics and app telemetry
Dottsy sends filtered error reports and fixed usage events to Sentry. Reports can include the app version, timestamps, error categories, code positions, habit and completion counts, and trial or purchase status. Dottsy removes raw error messages, personal file paths, request data, user identifiers, and habit content from these reports. It does not send habit names, icons, colors, screenshots, screen recordings, or view hierarchy. Native crash capture, sessions, profiling, and performance tracing are disabled.
Sentry and other providers can see your source IP address when the app connects to them. This is separate from the filtered report contents. Sentry's project-side IP storage settings have not yet been verified.
Earlier versions allowed broader diagnostics, including on-screen content. Updating Dottsy does not delete reports already received by Sentry. Contact us with questions about previously collected data.
Purchases
Dottsy uses Google Play Billing, Apple In-App Purchase, and RevenueCat to sell and validate the lifetime unlock. These services may process purchase identifiers, entitlement status, product IDs, transaction status, app user identifiers, device information, and store account metadata needed to complete purchases, restore purchases, prevent fraud, and keep access working.
What Dottsy does not collect
- Dottsy does not require an account.
- Dottsy does not collect precise location.
- Dottsy does not show ads.
- Dottsy does not sell personal data.
- Dottsy does not provide medical, financial, or government services.
Sharing
Dottsy shares data with service providers only as needed to run the app: Sentry for diagnostics and telemetry, RevenueCat for purchase entitlements, and Apple or Google for in-app purchases. These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies.
Security
Data sent to Sentry, RevenueCat, Apple, and Google is encrypted in transit. Habit data stored on your device is protected by the security of your device and operating system.
Deleting data
You can delete local habit data by deleting Dottsy from your device. For telemetry or purchase data questions, contact us through the developer contact email listed on the App Store or Google Play listing.
Changes
We may update this policy when Dottsy changes. The effective date above shows when this policy was last updated.
